We appreciate the community of labor leaders and activists that gathered to celebrate with us on September 26, 2013. The words and actions in support of the work we’ve been doing over the last fifty years was truly moving and inspires us to continue our work of training new generations of labor leaders and providing high-quality, policy-relevant research for another fifty years and beyond.

We were thrilled to have the opportunity to honor many heroes of the labor movement, including leaders in protecting the rights of working people, pioneers in organizing in a changing economy, and individuals who made a lifetime commitment to improving the lives of working people. We were especially proud to honor and celebrate acts of courage and solidarity by workers in some of the most precarious positions in our job market.
