Since 1964, the UC Berkeley Labor Center has conducted groundbreaking research on issues vital to working families, focusing on low-wage industries and workers of color, women, and immigrants. We help thousands of union and community leaders hone their leadership skills to build powerful, diverse worker organizations and strengthen the labor movement. We also engage students on the UC Berkeley campus and beyond who are interested in studying and joining the labor movement.
