About Patrick
Patrick DeDauw is a researcher and teacher originally from Canada. He has taught social sciences and urban studies at Queens College, CUNY, and Freie Universität-Berlin, where he received an MA in political economy. His writing and editorial work has contributed to academic publications and projects in popular education. Currently a Ph.D. candidate in economic geography (earth & environmental sciences) at the CUNY Graduate Center, Patrick’s dissertation examines regional fiscal restructuring, stakeholder struggles, and criminal justice in northern Alberta, Canada. His research has been supported by the Québec Research Fund (FRQSC) and the Gittell Urban Studies Collective.
