Solidarity Spring

Spring Break 2024
dates TBA
Open to Freshmen, Sophomores, Transfer Students

Solidarity Spring is a hands-on, paid service and community learning “alternative” spring break experience offered by the UC Berkeley Labor Center for students! Solidarity Spring aims to introduce undergraduates to labor and community organizing through workshops, labor mobilizations, and art and cultural experiences on and off campus.

During the three-day event, students engage with the labor movement through Bay Area labor partners and partner organizations in order to learn the history of the labor movement, as well as participate in current happenings in the labor movement. Solidarity Spring is a cohort of 20 students and is predominantly for freshman, sophomores, and transfer students during the Spring recess period. Transportation and meals during Solidarity Spring program hours will be covered by the Labor Center.

If you are a junior or senior and you are interested in getting involved with the UC Berkeley Labor Center and learning hands-on labor organizing or research skills, check out the Labor Summer Internship.
