These provisions call for the development of metrics or evaluation processes to monitor the effectiveness of joint efforts, identify areas for improvement, and document progress toward shared goals.

Examples:

  • The Council will, as needed, create proposed measurements and metrics to assess its effectiveness, ensuring consistent, appropriate, and efficient evaluation. It will also gather, share, and disseminate information on labor-management relations improvement initiatives, including their outcomes. (AFGE-OPM3)
  • “The committee through current internal evaluation systems will assess the Department’s activities in improving the quality of work life.” (AFGE-OPM39; NFFE-OPM61)
  • “Effective collaboration should include the development of metrics by LMFs to monitor improvements in areas such as labor-management satisfaction, productivity gains, cost savings, and other areas as identified by the LMF participants.” (NNU-OPM37)
