2.5 Examples of technological change agreements

This section highlights sample collective bargaining agreements that contain comprehensive technological change provisions. These contracts often integrate multiple foundational rights—such as notice, bargaining, participation, and jurisdictional protections—into a unified framework. Many of the individual provisions cited throughout Section 2 are drawn from these agreements. Some of these agreements also include comprehensive technology transition plans that address employment and income security, retraining, and job restructuring, topics explored in greater detail in Section 3.
