In the process, stakeholders are raising a number of questions about these technologies, how employers use them, and how workers are impacted.

In this accessible and non-technical FAQ we answer some of the most common questions that are being raised, drawing on existing research, including our own. We focus on what are commonly known as electronic monitoring and automated decisions systems; there are other workplace technologies being addressed by policymakers that we do not cover here.
